I'm switching to Intel myself this summer. Currently running an X2 6400+ 3.2ghz AMD and will be buying a Intel Q6600 2.4ghz.

On newegg you can get a Q6600 for only $219 and the Phenom 9850 at 2.5ghz is $235, and is rumored to run slower than the Q6600.

I'm having a hard time finding a motherboard that has 1394(firewire) spot on it-My apollo case has an outlet for it on the front of the case-so I'd like to have it working. That motherboard has them-and I can't afford a lot more than what I have budgeted .
