Default I have a question

I just bought a pair of M-audio bx5a. I want to know what is the best way to connect them to my iMac until I buy my new soundcard. They use two 1/4 TRS stereo plugs. I use an iMac, which currently has a 3.5mm audio/optical out (minijack). Should I use a 3.5mm splitter than use a 1/4 to 3.5mm converter?

Thanks!

Your sound card is not going to power those speakers. You need to run them through a receiver or amp first.

they're active speakers, the amps are in them.

What you're suggesting will work fine - any techy store will sell a mini jack to 2 mono jacks lead.
