What here some good options
1GB Corsair XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series Cas Latency: 2-3-3-6 $185 http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...145-560&depa=1 This might cost a little to much for you so 2X512 might be a better option Corsair XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series 184 Pin 512MB 2-3-3-6 1T $67X2= $134 http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...145-416&depa=1 Geil Dual Channel 184 Pin 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC-3200 Cas Latency: 2 6-3-3 $126 http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...144-513&depa=1 Patriot Dual Channel Kit 184-Pin 1GB (512MBx2) Cas Latency: 2-3-2-5-T1 $130 http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...220-006&depa=1 Newegg is stupid I was surprise to find the dual 512 packs was cheaper for the good stuff then buying 2 512 seperate. other companies that I did not choose also make excelent ram just they happen to be more expensive at newegg but maybe else where they would be cheaper. You might want to look around for better prices. The main thing I was searching for was ram with cas 2 and runs at 1T. Now if all these was to much money for you then start looking at cas 2.5 ram. You dont really loose much performance maybe 2-3%.

When the processor says:
"RAM: 3x DIMM Supports DDR266/333/400 Max 3GB" Does that mean I can have three seperate sticks in it working together? And also, what are the specifics that I need on a stick of memory to have it work in those requirements? Last edited by Happy_Demon; 04-21-2005 at 05:18 AM. |

An easy answer, just go ahead and get any DDR400 from Corsair, Crucial, or even possibly kingston (as long as they have a great reputation like corsair and crucial it's fine), and make sure it's at least a gig. I just got 1gb from Corsair, and most of the time I get Crucial, and it has never failed me. The Corsair was "Value Select", and since RAM speed is always the same if it's PC3200 or anything else, if you're hard up for cash or don't want to spend too much, go ahead and get the value stuff. I got 2x512mb Value Select for $90, and it's perfect. If you want to spend money for no reason, go ahead and get some $400 RAM, but it does the exact same thing. Oh yeah, and if it says 3x DIMM for 266/333/400 up to 3gb, yeah, they all work together. The only reason manufacturers mention that is because some mobo's (like mine), have something like 3x DIMM slots, but only 2 work with DDR400 and 2gb of that, but if you use PC333 or 266, you can use all 3 slots and up to 3gb.
