Hi, I am hoping to purchase a desktop that one may have XP or the other may have no operating system. Both are similar to the one listed below:
- Celeron 2.8 - 1 GB ram - DLink DGE-530T Gigabit Ethernet Adapter - 122 GB Harddrive - Invidia G-Force 4MX400 Asking: $125 I primarily want a used desktop to mess around with ubuntu/linux with without messing up my desktop. Is it difficult to get this a system running with ubuntu or is it hard to get all the drivers and such up and going. Also, how difficult is it to put another HDD in a system like this. I have an extra from an old computer. Would it require drivers or could I just plug it in? I have not done much hardware/start from scratch kind of stuff, but i have messed around a little and have read some. Thanks, Jason |

Installing a hard drive would depend on the mother board but I imagine it would be doable. When you install the extra hard drive, i think it would just be a matter of sticking it in the case, checking the jumpers on the harddrive and then formatting it.
