Ok so some background info.

on wendsday, a mac pro was stolen from a student at my school. we have not been able to find it and hit a dead end. However today a student brought up that there was a ssid being broadcast under his name. i went to my computer and pulled up network stumbler up and in fact it was his name it was students name ibook g4

however that was his last computer. that is now broken. however this is where it seems unreal. the mac address changed 3 times over the 1 hr and i looked them up and it did not come up so they were fake. and the siginal keeped droping. We take it that a student was messing with us but how do we check this, i will try to add the files if i can but if this happends again, what should we do? we did close the school and search everyone but they sliped past us...
