Default iTunes not openining

xp sp2
dell m1210


i installed itunes and quicktime. when i run itunes, nothing happens. no error mesages..nothing. itunes shows up in the task manager and everything, but there is no window.

am i missing something? does itunes need a certain software to work (like net framework) or something?

reinstall the itunes... and download the latest version.

well i was using the latest version...i downloaded it from http://www.apple.com/itunes/overview/and installed it, but as said before, it was a no go.

i uninstalled, rebooted, installed, then rebooted. i opened itunes and the processes came up in the task manager. but no window opened up still.

hmm i researched this problem online and it seems a possible solution is to go to task manager and set itunes priorities to above normal. i just hope that works.

but theres no window to show for it. i havent tested the priority trick yet as i dont have the laptop on me.
