Default dumb question

hi sorry everyone this is proably a very dumb question but i don t want to waste money. the graphics card i have now is an ati 9800pro 128mb. the card i am looking to upgrade to is a nvidia 7600gt. i just want to make d4efantly sure that this new card is quite alot better than the old one.

Trust me its ALOT better, but I thought they didnt make the 7600GT anymore...
well if your gonna get it make sure you have the right video slot and a good power supply

i dont know what power pack it needs though which bit on the spec tells me

I will mail you a Nvidia 7900GS, I just made some upgrades and replaced it with an EVGA 8800GTX, it just sits around my spare room.

^ I second his idea, the 8-series absolutely destroys the 7th-genration cards. Depends on what games you're playing, 8800# cards might be a bit of an overkill, though, but the price seems great.

The 256mb 8800gt? It leads the 8800gs unless using AA or AF, then it tanks and the GS takes a big lead.
