cant download anything!?

i reinstalled windows xp and when i installed my wireless usb adapter drivers i was able to download the internet browser oprea with IE but when i went to downlaod anything else in oprea it wont download!?

when i try to downloa something sometimes when it says if download doesnt begin is 30 seconds click here when i click there or even when there isnt that a new tab opens up and says This object has been blocked. i also cant download anything in IE because when i do a new window opens really small and that cant find server or what ever message pops up i tried moving my wireless usb adapter to a different slot but it didnt work! help!

It has to do with your internet setting sin opera. Turn down the security settings and it shall work. If not then use Firefox! Firefox is much better anyway

no i just found out it is zone alarm i tried disabling it and i was able t download something but as soon as i started it back up nothing what should i turn down in zone alarm?

Seriously get rid of Zone Alarm. It's just a nuisance. It's better having no protection than that.

ok what do you recommend getting? for anti spyware i think ill get superantispyware but what about antivirus? or an internet security suite? i dont mind paying

Sygate Professional .....but its not free. very flexible.

AVG, it's got a free and paid for edition. Doesn't have all the nuisance pop-ups and crap too.
