Default What in the world causes this??

So last night I was in the middle of a Call of Duty match and noticed my cell phone was dying so I plugged it into my computer where I always charge it. Everything was fine and dandy and then all of a sudden BLAM the computer completely shuts off. I was concerned but didnt think a whole lot of it and sort of passed it off as a fluke. I restarted it and it came back to windows ok so again i thought 'just a fluke'

Then this afternoon I noticed my printer was not working anymore so I was tackling that issue when I started up and Zune to listen to some tunes and it told me I had an update. I clicked on the update tab and again...BLAM computer shuts off again...

Is it a power issue or what else could possibly be responsible...

Is there any static electricity in the objects you're plugging into the USB ports? Sometimes the static there can short out the computer and turn it off. It happened to me a few times with my old motherboard.

If you want to rule out the RAM you could use memtest86:
