Question New HDD

I just got my Seagate 500GB HDD.

I'm trying to install windows on it. But when I'm asked to select a location to install, my new HDD isn't shown. It doesn't have any jumpers on it either. Any ideas?

is this going to be your main drive?

If so, you should put a jumper across the two pins on the far left. With seagate, no jumper = slave drive, which could be the problem.

What's the model of the drive? Is it SATA or IDE?
