Switch Problems

I have a D-Link 4 port Switch that i cant seem to get to work with my mac and ubuntu systems

Any help

chances are its an unmanaged switch, so if its not working, its either

A) physically broken

B) something is wrong in the configuration of another part of your network.

We will need more information about the problem and your network to help
