Question Bang for your buck

I'm going to be going to college in about a month and i am looking for a laptop. Does anyone know a great laptop where you can get the most bang for you buck? My friend tells me that emachines a very good and aren't expensive.

You can get the Emachiens M6807 notebook.... a very solid notebook for it's price range.
