Lord Of The Ming

My friend is thinking about buying a prostar laptop, and I'm a little skeptical, because of :

1. I've never heard of Prostar.
2. He's getting a 2.5 C2D with 4 GB ram and a 8600m GPU for $1300.

Anyone have any experience with Prostar? I just don't want him getting something that turns out to be a PoS.
