I'm looking at the HP dv6700t/z series and I'm wondering which processor to get. For approximately the same price (the Intel being about $30 more) I can get an AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-68 (2.4 GHz) or an Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 (2.0GHz). I would like to know which one is faster for documents, email, internet, powerpoint, etc. I have done some research and have found that Core 2 Duos are typically better then similar AMDs, but I don't know if the .4 difference would be enough to off-set it. Thanks for your help.
The rest of the computer will look something like this Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit (would like to get XP, but it's not compatible with this laptop) 3GB DDR2 RAM Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator X3100(for the Intel)/NVIDIA GeForce Go 7150M(for the AMD) 120GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support Last edited by kcducttaper; 05-13-2008 at 01:59 AM. |
