Question Tweaking Mobo

i have a mobo and it says compatible up to 2 gigs, can i tweak the system somehow to accept 4 gigs ?

I don't see that happening... First of all you would need Vista 64bit and second of all, I suspect it doesn't have enough slots?

ive heard of tweaking the system, and slot doesnt matter, u can buy sticks of 2 gbs

True, but they're not as fast. You can ofcourse just take two 2gb sticks and put them in. That should work just fine unless they somehow restricted it in a software-way?

lol no its a hardware restriction. his motherboard CANNOT support more then 2gb, no matter what. back when they made his motherboard, the technology wasnt there to put any more in.

EDIT: either that, or it was a kind of budget board.
