Default .avi to AMV files....any one please

Hey guys,

i need help real bad....how can i convert .avi files to AMV?

i just purchased an MP4 player that can play vids aslong as theyre in AMV format but they gave me some crappy software on a minidisk which is suppose to convert for you but it never does

thanks but thats the software they gave me on a minidisk....its useless it just says failed everytime i try to convert

no wonder its free

guys this is seriusly annoying me now what do you recomend?
