Unhappy I don't see my HD

After i format my HD and install XP again i can not see my second HD.
If i look in my computer Hard ware i see my HD but i don't have a icone to open. What i can do?????

depends, D can be his cd/dvd drive or whatever according to his configurations.
It's best to go in computer management like Cohen said, from there you will know what is attached or not

Yeah, but if he can't see it there he can try to do that. He can also do a command in cmd so he can view all labels.

Go start > run > type in "*letter of hard drive*:\

then go from their.

hah dude you crazy or something ? i mean if he does not see his hard drive why would he do that ?
if drive is not seen then either:
a) drive is not connected
b) drive is connected but not formatted (raw - no drive letter)
c) drive connected but dead
d) drive is connected but file system is not the same, drive letter assigned, but not accessible.

Please be a bit more informative and helpful in your posts

go into control panel-----\/

administrative tools
computer management
storage
disk management

should come up with all attatched drives, they should all say healthy.

if not then you prob havnt got a partition on that drive, or has gone bad

Go to My Computer and click on the hard drive.
