Ok I don't like the music but it's not a reason to say it's crap... You like Jimmy Hendrix and Led Zeppelin, I only like Stairway to Heaven, the rest is crap TO ME. But you'll agree with me if I tell you that they're both amazing musicians and their music is good... I've listened to MCR a few month ago and didn't like it. But the singer has a nice voice, and the musician play well their instruments. So it's not crappy music. Get what I'm saying? ![]() Don't take it the wrong way ![]()

But, When an entire social group of people thinks that this is the "The" music to listen to, it gets irritating, and you associate it with that whole group of people... Where as, you'd meet somebody else in the street and ask them what music they liked, You'd pretty much get a different answer each time.

EMO isn't even a real style of person, it was always just alternative.
EMO music isn't even real, its just slighty soft post-harcore. Of course post-harcore is just a basterdised variation of an earlier music that had at least something to do with the title, but hey.

Yeah, Im big on the whole "wear what you want, act how you feel, do whatever" bit, but some of this is just outrageous. I want to start of with a good friend of mine...
Always had a good outlook on life. Brilliant, never missed a day of school, loved his family (for the most part). Then recently (this year and somewhat last) he has been wearing darker and darker clothing, hanging out with the wrong people. About 6 months ago he started cutting and thats when I stopped hanging out with him. His hair covers so much of his face he didnt see the stop sign and failed his driving test. He has everything in the world, xbox 360, gaming computer, free afternoons, girlfriend, car, scholarship, yet every time I ask him 'whats up' he goes 'my life sucks'. About 3 months ago I noticed that he was skipping school a whole lot more and his grades were dropping. Needless to say, he calls himself emo :-/. Then this quote I heard in school. "My life sucks, my girlfriend broke up with me so I tried to relax by listening to green day and my chemical romance really loud in my BMW last night, I accidentally crashed, its cool though cause my parents will buy me a new one". Spoiled tw*ts. Its just a fad, I hope it passes. Seeing people wear those tight pants that cut off circulation is sickening. >.< |
