Default visual c++ and vista

after installing visual c++ in my computer, i usually find running errors, i heard people said visual c++ is not compatible with windows vista, is it true?
if so,, which software should i use in vista instead of visual c++?

try it run as administrator.. most of case solve that.. but if you didn't solve to that.. you better dual boot your system... like my notebook... because i don't want to erase my other os(vista) becaue maybe i can use it in the future.. sometime when bill gates updated or perfect his vista...
