I have the EVGA 112-CK-NF75-K1 and the same processor and I easily get it to 3.0 on air.

Ive done some runs at 1.7 V to bench, its pretty safe i have found, but ive only run my computer with 1.7 V for around half an hour.

Id go higher if i had the option to

an asus P5KC will get you to 3.6 GHz like me and its a cheap mobo
