Default Upgrading need help.

I got me a HP Pavilion a350n Desktop PC. This computer is pretty much older then 5 years, and i need help upgrading it to play some games. I'm getting a summer job so I'm planning on spending 500$ on building the computer and the rest on games. I want the best for my money, hoping the best can run COD4, Crysis, Gears of War.

The only thing I did to this computer is get a new power supply because the one that came with it broke. And also I got graphic card 1 and half years ago, ATI Radeon 9550, to play CSS.

Product Specs:

I want to reused as much as possible. Thanks for the help.

Sorry man, but with a pentium 4 processor you will probably just barely make COD4 (forget Crysis).

Things to do...

1. upgrade to a dual or quad core intel cpu
2. upgrade memory
3. upgrade graphic card

Not sure if $500 enough...Here is a budget gaming set-up

E2180 + aftermarket heatsink
GA-EP35-DS3L
2 x 1GB DDR2 800 RAM
8800GS
450-500W PSU (looking for quality one, around $50)
mid-ATX case (not sure if your existing case can occupy ATX mobo)
HDD & Optical drive - Reuse
OS: not sure if you can tranfer, probably need new one.

So this seem like I would need to upgrade my mobo. Would this be able to play COD4, Gears War, Crysis at medium or high settings??

Around it. I'd get a E2140 and LGA775 92mm Rosewill cooler. It's actually... terrific. $9, and I got to 3GHz with it
