Exclamation Mac Cpu

I own a MacBook Pro and was wondering if my laptop was running at to high of a temp. I saw another thread like this, but my laptop runs at a higher temp 4 some reason. When running frostwire or the iTunes visualizer, my laptop gets up to around 175˚ F. I think this might be too high for a 2.16 Ghz C2D. I may have 2 fans in this laptop, but still, 175˚F?

If you have an XP partition try checking the temps under that.

I think you two are one of the same, or are friends. You both only have one post, both joined in May, and both have cars as your avatar.

Yeah we are best friends. I used iStat Pro and seems to be fairly correct for what i have seen on other temp readings. I'll try to get a pic up for all who asked.

whoah. thats wrong. core 2 duo's throttle themselves at 75C which would make your computer freeze, essentially.

Sometimes scientists make things alot harder than they need to. All they've gotta do is put a big spring on the ground where they think it's gonna land, or send a mission to the moon to erect a sign that says "Welcome to Earth".

75C = 167F

While it's still extremely hot, I think you are getting C and F mixed up, since rarely does anyone use Fahrenheit when talking about PC temps.
