I have at the moment a desktop connected via cable to my sky router, and my laptop which connects wirelessly to sky.
Is it possible to enable printer/file sharing via the router So I can print/access files from my laptop. if so, how??

i assume both your PCs are running Windows XP. you need to go to your File/Printer settings on the network connections on both PCs and enable it.
the printer will then need to be installed onto one of the computers, once it is installed go to "printers and faxes" in Control Panel and right click the printer and select sharing, from there allow it to be shared on the network. i cant remember whether you have to install the printer on the other pc too.
