Default Resolution in Windows

Hi,
I am having problems with my resolution in Windows XP. I am having two monitors first 1280x1024 this one works good... The second one is 1680x1050 however in windows setting of desktop there is no longer a choice of setting it to this resolution.

It happed today out of nowhere the resolution changed. I havent played with the settings and havent installed any new programs.

Does someone have similar experiences with this?

Thank you for responses

Do you think that driver for the monitor may be corrupted or somehow damaged?

The monitor's probably fine... you may want to update your videocard drivers, as driver glitches may sometimes result in only "standard" resolutions (1280x1024 and below) being available.

*EDIT* oh yea, you were talking about the drivers in your last post. Dumb me ... but yea, I'd suspect drivers first.

Its getting better... I found some monitor driver which allows me at least 1360x1024 which seems to be at least in correct ratio...

Still 1680x1050 would work much better

Please I still need help
