I have heard of these before, I saw a few in Best Buy here, and they look to have good picture quality.

Specs somehow mean nothing with tvs, a sony or samsung screen will always look better than a hanspree (or whoever) tv, regardless of the specs.

I'd try to see one in the flesh first if possible, it's the only way to tell. The reviews seem pretty good though, might just be worth a punt... How bad can it be?

I agree completely. The contrast ratio in particular seems to suffer badly with these cheaper brands...

yeah i think if you're gonna get a tv, stick to the usual suspects: samsung, sony, hitachi, etc...

The 1,600:1 contrast ratio is extremely low, hence the low price. At that size, you want something with at least 10,000:1.

Wicked, thanks for all the input everyone

I thought Their was something wrong when the price was that low, with that big of a tv,

so, 10,000:1 on a 42" and higher is good? or 47" and higher? I'm looking for a big TV, originally was gunna get a 50" or higher, but saw this deal, and thought I couldn't turn it down.

Any suggestions?

Thanks again
