Pri Master hard Disk S.M.A.R.T. status BAD, Backup and Replace

Hi,

I was on my machine and it started to freeze just whilst in a word document. I rebooted and now get the message 'Pri Master hard Disk S.M.A.R.T. status BAD, Backup and Replace'.

I cant get anywhere from here. After reading some things online i heard to go into the BIOS and disable the S.M.A.R.T. However i cant even get into the BIOS

Does anyone have any suggestions? If the Hard Drive is broke then could anyone suggest a way i could get my documents/files back?
