Default Memory question

How can I tell what kind of memory my PC uses without opening it up? This computer was made by someone who built it for the school I went to so there is no brand name on it.

yes, I did use that and it said my RAM was ddr2. Does that mean all I have to do to find RAM for my pc is look for ddr2 and it will be compatible?

It should be. It will tell you the speed and timings as well if you want to match it.
