Default router network

hey guys, i have a quick question... im not really network oriented, so this might be pretty simple.. ok, have 2 computers connected wirelessly to the same router. one xp, one vista. On the xp, im trying to access my vista files. but, when i go into network places and view my vista computer, i cant get in. instead i get a pop up that prompts user name and password. aaaand i cant get around this. any help?

If you enter in the username and password for an administrator account, does it let you log on? It sounds like you are connected and configured fine, you just need administrative/user privileges to access that share.

Have you tried just entering "admin" or "administrator", with no password?
