Default RAM speed and FSB match? HELP!

I am not great with all the technical stuff so please forgive me if I sound like an idiot. I keep reading about changing (if necessary) and matching the speed of your RAM with your FSB speed. I have read about a dozen different people say to do it a dozen different ways. What should mine be set at? What would be the best setting for performance? What would be the best settings for stability? Here is what I am working with

Asus P5N-E nForce 650i SLI Chipset LGA775 FSB1333
Intel core 2 Quad Q9300 FSB1333
CORSAIR XMS2 (4 x 1GB) 240-Pin 800 MHz (PC2 6400)

Thanks for the help!

Ok.

Your FSB is Quadpumped, so it would be FSB * 4 = Quadpumped FSB.

And the speed of your RAM needs to be half of the Quadpumped FSB. And I happen to know that your current Quadpumped FSB = 1333Mhz. And your ram is 800mhz... So your RAM is faster then the FSB can handle at the moment. Not that there is anything wrong just that you're not using the speed you could use.

I suspect the multiplier options are 6, 7 and 7.5 So I'd lower it to 7 and put the FSB (not quadpumped) up to 400. This way you will run a 2.8Ghz Q9300 and your ram will be the perfect ratio for it's stock speed
