I've had so many of those, happened to me like a 100 times in the past. Unfourtunatly my computer eventually broke down and now it is not working as it should be working.
I bought mine in early 2004, so I suppose it had to go anyways, but how old is yours? New computeres arent supposed to be shutting down unless you've gone pass its capeability.

Wow many stuff can cause that...
Dying motherboard...
Dying any part of hardware like Hard Disk...
Even a Brontox virus...

I suppose some of your hardware is dying, it will help us determine it if you tell us how old is your computer, but my computer is old like 7 months now, and 5 months ago hard disk died so... you never really know!

it did use to happen to my dad and the computer just fixed itself - i think it may have been a virus because he had to reinstall the OS because he had a major virus we could not get rid of so... i would say it is a virus.

I checked for viruses and everything was clean.. I have yet to find a trust worthy temperature program out there that seems accurate... What do you use for your temps?
