Default AntiVirus/Spyware/Malware/Firewall in Ubuntu

Is it necessary to have any security software in Ubuntu? I know that there aren't that many Linux viruses, but I feel weird subconsiously knowing that my PC can be infected easily. Even if it isn't necessary to have any, are there any programs of this type that will work in Ubuntu? Also, in the ase of the PC in my sig(as in dual-booting)will Windows' anti-mal/spy/virus software and firewall stuff still be working when I am using Ubuntu? Thanks for any help.
