Whens your next big upgrade coming?

Well after my latest upgrade, i built a cheap little gaming computer that has handled cod4 beautifully (which was its intended usage) I kinda have decided that im not upgrading until:

solid state hdd's are more common
ddr3 becomes more mainstream
the cores on cpu's stop multiplying so fast

This might mean in less then a year i'll have to upgrade, but if the technology comes that fast i won't regret upgrading, i mean i only spent about $500 for my rig now.

So when is your guys next big upgrade? Tommarow? A year? When some new game comes out?

hopefully Q4 of this year or Q1 of 2009.

i'm waiting for the prices to drop further more here. they're quite low already but, i can wait.

I'm not going to build another rig altogether. Probably just upgrade to phenom and a new mobo that supports phenom, when i need it. When? Ummmm, right now i'm saving up for a cpu cooler. Then i wanna save up for a new lcd, then....http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16836121122

hmm il probably be upgrading my Cpu sometime around christmas.

im going Quad,might invest in a better case too,im not bothering upgrading gfx or anything else they will be fine for some time yet

Yeah, I'll probably upgrade my CPU later, maybe get an SLi Motherboard and another 8800GT.

But I recently ordered a gaming laptop, SLi 8600's, so thats my recent 'upgrade'.

I'm planning to get the following but I haven't really got the order so I will just post most of it. But I'm definitely getting the hard drive next.

HDD 400-500 GB
Case (Antec 900/1200)
DVD RW
+2GB RAM
PSU 700W (For future proofing)
Sound Card
Extra Screen

All i need now is some money.Heh heh.

Not soon, I will be slowly changing things around (GPU, then mobo+ram ETC) over the summer though.
