Default Is there a application like Microsoft Sam?

Hey guys.

Are you all familiar with Microsoft Sam that's available on 2000 and XP? I'm looking for an application similar to it where I type a word and a voice says it. I know there's Microsoft Anna on Vista but I can't seem to find that specific function I need where she says whatever I type.

Thanks in advance!

You can use Narrator in Windows Vista to have the computer read your text aloud. To set up Narrator, go into Control Panel and choose the Ease of Access section. You can start Narrator from the Ease of Access Center.

Yeah under Narrator click on speech, set the talking speed etc and then make a new folder on my desktop. Type what text you want in that then highlight it and Narrator will speak it.

You can get a freeware at panopreter.com that can do what you want, and it can convert files reading into wave files and mp3 fils. Best of all, it's free!
