Default Hard Drive Possible Curruption

I think my hard drive in one of my pc's is currupt. I first realised it when windows xp home for some reason didn't want to load up...it just flashed a blue debug screen with a small amount of writing on but i couldn't catch what it was. Then it would just go through the start up procedure.

So i tried fixing it but no luck. Is there anyway i can fix curruption or is it just permentant?

Thanks

Andy

Why do you think it is corrupt? I would think it is a hardware/software issue. Does the hard drive spool up? Does it make clicking noises, or not make any noise at all. What have you changed since the previous start which was successful?

Check all the connections going to and from the drive. My old PC would do the same because it got dirty/loose cables. If that does not work, stick your windows disk in and try to repair windows, and if all else fails, reformat the drive, and begin with a fresh install.
