problem playing anime sometimes

Hello,

recently I have been trying to watch anime with subtitles in media player classic, vlc player etc. THe files I am having problems with are .mkv, my players play the file okay, but periodically, the video freezes and shortly after continues, thus making the subtitles lag behind the animation, I have never had this problem, any ideas? thanks a bunch

Convert the .mkv to .avi. That is one good suggestion
