I would like know what's the maximum you can send in an e-mail message.

I do a lot of email with family and friends. little movies, powerpoint and wma files. The best i can tell is about 5meg. some of the people would be rejected from there internet provider and i would get it back.

I've sent songs.... like 5 MBs without a problem...

It depends you your ISP and the ISP your sending to. Most are in the 5 to 10 megs range.

Depends on your email provider. You can attach files up to 20 megs on gmail.

a lot of family are good for only 3meg. ive received 10meg in the past. if i needed ive used winrar and split the file then they can reassemble. in fact a very nice free utility after a zip is using quickpar. then let say you send 20meg split convert to quickpar and if someone has a file that is corrupted quickpar will generate which part of the file that is corrupted. and then generate a repair file. maybe 2k instead of downloading the whole thing all over again.
