Question e6300....dissapearing

hey guys,

why is it you dont seem to see e6300 processors on for sale on sites such as ebuyer,or most internet sites for uk anymore?

also e6400 is the same

i know its not the latest cpu but why?

on ebuyer they still stock Pentium 4s lol but no e6300 or e6400.

because the e6320 and e6420 replaced them and intel stopped making them. the newer ones ensure that ALL e6xxx series processors have 4MB of cache, so that none of them are inferior to the 2mb of cache on the e4xxx series.

but why? theres nothing wrong with the e6300s or e6400s,just they have half the l2 cache.

it seems stupid they could have just kept on selling the e6300s but even cheaper than the e6320.

thats what the e4500 is for. if you look at the performance of an e4500 compared to an e6300 or an e6400, the e6 series has nothing over the e4 series, pretty much making their whole hierarchy system backwards.
