Default Vista BSOD

This is vista related so I put it here. A few minutes ago, my two week or so old alienware m15x laptop got a BSOD playing grand theft auto san andreas. The drivers are laptopvideo2go and are updated. A few minutes before the bsod, gta crashed once. I started it again, and it gave me a bsod, saying something about "irq not less or equal"

here is a screenshot of the error message.

uninstall the game, restart the laptop with "last settings that worked" option... and install it again... hope this helps. While installing, remember to run the setup as an administrator by selecting, "Run as administrator".

IRQL_NOT_GREATER_OR_EQUAL error messages are not specific to hardware or software. The error codes generated with this error are quite important and could point you to the problem. Look at the following link for the error codes.

It might be noteworthy that I had the same problem with my new laptop. I went thru a lot of grief before I found a solution. It turned out to be a disk defragmentation problem. It seems the built in defragger with Vista does not work well. I downloaded Defraggler from defraggler.com and all is well now. No more BSOD,s. This may or may not help you but it helped me so I included it.
