DDR2-800 is all you'll need. G Skill and OCZ are fine, but Corsair is the best. And for $29, you just can't lose.

Lower the cas latency = faster. That's all ya need to know.

Question lower the latency?

so to read the latency, you mean 4 4 4 16, would be better than 5 5 5 15? I am not quite sure what that means, what about voltage, some say 22.1-22.2, or 22.1 - 23.1, how does that compare?....
I like corsair they have never failed me, however seems like alot people like either g-skil, or ocz, a-data. is one generally better for the beginer, or more idiot proof.???

So this is how it was explained to me, I think this is a "quick and dirty" approach, but a good first pass; within the same data rate (e.g. DDR2), divide the mHz by the latency, the higher the number the better. So DDR2 800 at CAS 4 is roughly equal to DDR2 1000 at CAS 5 and slightly slower than DDR2 1066 or higher also at CAS 5. But if you factor in price, the DDR2 800 is less expensive by about 30 - 50%. That was my rational anyhoo...

1000 and 1066 memory will have higher voltages and still protected by the warrentee.

Corsair/OCZ/Crucial all of em have MIR. Not saying they won't work but expect em to come in 3-4 months, but i like to think of it as false advertisting.
