Posted one of my problems on a Vista community... got one reply that helped.. oh, zip.

So I came here. Last time I posted a question the people on here really helped.

So 1) Windows Defender will not turn on. I open it and turn it on then everytime it closes it apparently turns itself off.

2) Hibernate has vanished from all of the power plans. Help tells me the system admin may have turned it off but I didn't touch it and can't turn it back on.

3) I have two official Windows Saved Games folders and I can't delete the other on no matter how much I try. Even with User Account control off it won't delete.

4) The Acer ePower button still fails to come on occasionally. It's mostly stopped but I think it may be because I'm plugging my laptop in rather than using the battery because so far three times I've booted it up on battery it's been lacking ePower.

5) I don't know if this a laptop issue or battery issue but the new Battery I bought doesn't work if you are trying to turn the laptop on. It works perfectly fine if the laptop is plugged in and it did work on Hibernate before that vanished but if you are trying to turn it on with the battery in it doesn't work at all; not even a brief flicker.
