Default The best FLV to *** converter (Pazera problem)

What's the best program you can think of right now that you can use to convert FLVs to some "normal" format (that I could play without downloading a stack of codecs) I've used Pazera FVL2AVI but I'm experiencing a weird problem, the sound of the converted videos start repeating, picture starts skipping and whatnot... it seems to be doing this randomly, sometimes the conversions are perfect, sometimes...uhhh... well, I'd like something stable, so...

Any suggestions?
