Lightbulb Okay, So How Does This System Sound?

EDITED IN NEW ITEMS

Alright, there may be a few of you who gave me a few answers on my post a week or two ago, when I was attempting to decide between either a Gateway or HP to replace my current desktop nightmare.. (curse you, Sony..)

Anyway, for those who didn't, oh well. Due to complications in my personal life, money had to be halted for a small bit, but within' the next two weeks, I intend to finally get this thing. So, having said that, I did some looking around on TigerDirect/NewEgg, and found a system I can build that I'm pretty interested in, and want to know what you guys think. (I'll post links to the items in the text of what they are.)

+COOLER MASTER RC-690-KKN1-GP Black SECC/ ABS ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - $89.99
=with COOLER MASTER R4-L2S-122B-GP 120mm 4 BLUE LED LED Case Fan (Room for one or two more, I believe, but oh well) - $9.99
+EVGA 132-CK-NF79-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 790i Ultra SLI DDR3 ATX Intel Motherboard - $319.99 w/$30 Rebate
+Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 Processor BX80569Q9450 - 2.66GHz, 12MB Cache, 1333MHz FSB, Yorkfield, Quad-Core, Retail, Socket 775, Processor with Fan - $349.99
= ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro 92mm CPU Cooler - $26.99
==Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound - $5.99
+OCZ Platinum 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit - $259.99 (Will probably end up getting another.)
+Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB Hard Drive - 7200, 16MB, Serial ATA-300 - $64.99 ea
+LITE-ON Black 20X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 20X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA DVD Burner with LightScribe - $37.99
+Windows Vista Home Prem 64-bit DSP OEM DVD with Service Pack 1 (I am aware of the complications that come with 64-bit, but I'll manage; if I'm going to take the dive into Vista, it's not getting 20% of my total RAM) - $109.99
+Logitech SBF-96 Black 3 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Optical Mouse - $9.25
+Logitech 967740-0403 Black 104 Normal Keys 8 Function Keys USB Standard Internet 350 USB Keyboard - $8.25
+585w PSU that I purchased for my current system. Should do the job.

For simplicity-sake, I'm just going to get everything from NewEgg in one shipment, and pay the extra shipping for Next Day.
Total = $1,344.40
With shipping (Next Day) is $1,461.06 which is not too bad at all to get my PC the next day.

Oh, and of course, I'm open to opinions/other options. Oh, and I do intend on putting this badboy ($179.99) into the tower (maybe two, eventually), and I'll probably delay purchasing a monitor until a week or two afterward.

How does all of that sound? Again, open to suggestions. Thanks a lot, guys.

im sorry to say, but the 790i requires ddr3 not ddr2, and those powersupplies that come with cases are complete crap, so you might want to look into one made by corsair, thermaltake, rosewill, oh yeah and i didn' notice a videocard, so are you just going to use the onboard?

Well, actually, in the specs for the motherboard, I thought I had read that DDR2 was compatible. There's a long list of RAM that's compatible with the system, but yeah, only DDR3 works. I can get 4gb of 1600MHz for about $300.00, though. 8gb for $600.00 (about $400.00 more) Though to start, I'll probably go with 4gb.

Also, I even said that I'm using my current Power Supply, not the one that comes with the tower. So that's not a problem on any level.

As for video card, I also posted a link to the PNY GeForce 8800 GT (512mb) that I'll be putting into the tower..

Hate to sound asinine, but did you even read more than just the list of items?

Get the X38/X48... GameXStream PSU... DDR3 latencies are too high to see a good performance gain from DDR2. Stick with good ol' DDR2 for now.

Kinda haven't gotten any of the responses I was expecting. More-so actually looking for some helpful recommendations or comments.. not people telling me that I've forgotten something that I haven't, or that I should use one piece of something that is impossible to use with the rest. (All exclusion to just_a_noob reminding me that it needed DDR3. Thanks a lot, by the way. Almost overlooked that)

they all seem pretty good, but 2 things I notice right-away:
newegg is WAY cheaper
and
a sleeve bearing fan won't last long. I'd go with a ball bearing.

Actually, I did some looking around on NewEgg, too.. and pretty much everything was the exact same price. Only about half of the time, is NewEgg cheaper. At least, that I've noticed. I'll edit in the price difference after second-checking them.

Good point on the fan, though. Might have to look into some nicer ones. Though, I might be looking at another case. The one I'd posted originally was just kinda what I found that I liked, but I think I'd rather go with something a little more.. nice.

EDIT: Yeah, found the exact items on NewEgg (except for the RAM, which I would be buying from NewEgg anyway, so I may just move everything into the order for NewEgg) and Tiger's actually $10.00 less.. which if the shipping's about the same, I'm willing to take the hit. Unfortunately, Tiger's warehouse is closer to my location (Michigan), so I can get it here faster, for cheaper.

Newegg's standard shipping guarantees 3 day.

Alright, I'm ultimately going with NewEgg because after some searching around for a few other things to add/stick with, NewEgg had what I needed. So, I've updated the original post with the new items, totals, ect..
