For the comptia certifications, is a pass good enough?
What way does it work? do you pass and thats it or is there like A,B,C,D? Can I barely scrape a pass and be no different from the guy who got 100%?

No, it is based on a point system. Each question is worth a set amount of points, and at the end of the test if you get a score above passing points wise you pass. Most certs require 80% to pass though if you want to look at it from a percentage stand point.

A PASS IS A PASS, it won't show what percent you got on your certificate. I'm currently about to sit my A+ and Network+ exams.
I think the pass rate you need is APROX 78% for A+ and Network+. Good luck and I suggest the Mike Meyers passport books.

The passing grade you need for the A+ Essentials test is a 675 out of 1000 and for the rest of the three A+ tests you need a 700 out of 900.

Does it mean anything? Like, if you go to a small employer and he looks at it and there is 1 previous job working at a supermarket and you have every CompTIA cert, will he employ you?

Well the A+ cert is definitely a plus. That means you know your stuff and most small companies will hire you.
