Default Updating Bios

i have a quick question guys,

i am currently trying to update the bios on my ASUS p5n-e sli mother board.

in the guide for updating the bios it says i must rename the bios file to my mother board name (p5n-e SLI)

the example they give is as follows

"1. Download latest ASUS BIOS from ASUS WWW and rename the BIOS filename to "xxxxx.ROM" (xxxxx represents the motherboard model you used, eg. P4C800 BIOS is named p4c800.ROM), and save the file in a floppy disk."

that makes sense for that board but what should i rename mine???

p5nesli.rom?

Does your board have the Asus Flash Utility in the bios? If so just put the bios on a floppy and name it P5NESLI.rom and use the flash utility to flash your bios.

i've got the same board. Download this file.
Put it on a usb stick or floppy disk.

Then update your bios via the flash utility in the bios.
I've never heard of renaming the .rom file. Never did to.
And i updated/downgraded my mobo lots of times.

i've still got it at 0703, i really need to update to.
