I have had excellent luck with their laptops, I've had the E1505 and E1520 for quite a while with no issues.

In my experience Dell LAPTOPS suck. Dell desktops seem to last much longer. My Inspiron 9300 (in sig) didn't even last 3 years. The i8200, my dad had didn't last two years. Not inexpensive problems either, motherboard, cpu, hard drive, the list goes on. No more dells for me.

I totally agree!! They are good for businesses and schools and thats about it!! I recently talked someone out of getting one and instead talked them into an ACER and I am positive he made a good decision and is now hooked on his Acer. As for the laptops well I dont have much experience with dells laptops but, im sure they are just as crappy as the desktops!

Geoff posted a good-will gesture so any interested folks could partake in some $ saving, and you guys jump like a pack of rabid dogs with the badmouthing.

Cripes, guys...really...

Edit; Anyway, on-topic. My wife's Inspiron 8200 she's had since '02 and used as a desktop replacement every day is just now starting to see some hardware issues. I'd say that's pretty damned reliable. It must bring a tear to some of your eyes knowing that her 'POS Dell' continues to outlive your custom-builts.
