If it only happens when you try to hibernate with a game running I would just save your game and exit out. You might have some wake up settings in the BIOS that are waking it up immediately.

well, at first, seems like a good idea, but the reason for me hibernating is so that i dont have to wait for the game to load(i wanna turn my pc on, and play). other then that, thanks

My pc had a problem with hibernating too before. A bios update fixed it though. Check to see if your bios is the most recent one released. Bios updates actually do fix alot of things.

You should be able to update it via floppy. You'll have to download the BIOS and the flasher program.

If you go to your motherboards or PC brands website you should be able to see all the latest updates. Is this pc a build or pre-built (like hp or acer etc)? If its a prebuilt then do as I said and go to the website on another pc and download the most recent release of the bios update and then just transfer it to your pc and install inside of windows. No need to install with flash drive anymore. You can install inside of windows and it is just as stable as doing it inside the bios.
