Default In need of help for my first build.

This is my first build and i'm not sure what parts to get. I have picked some parts tho. This computer will be used for games such as Unreal Tournament, WOW, Age of conan and crysis. I expect to run Crysis only at medium settings.
My budget is around $1000 for the tower, but i would like to spend less money if possible.
I will be using headphones to play so I don't think I need a sound card.
Items I know I will get-
CPU

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115037
$190

Items I think I will get-
RAM

CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145034
$56

Case

XCLIO A380BK Fully Black High Gloss Finish SECC 1.0mm thickness ATX Full Tower Computer Case
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811103010
$110

Graphics Card

EVGA 512-P3-N808-AR GeForce 8800GT AKIMBO SuperClocked 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130335
$240

Items i'm not sure about-
Optical Drive
ASUS Black 20X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 20X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 14X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA 20X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe – Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827135156
$36

Items I need-
Motherboard-? ( I will not SLI)
Hard Drive 1-?
Hard Drive 2-?
I will be using 2 hard drives because I will install the OS on one of them and then the other one should be 250gb or more. I was looking at some hard drives and at the end of them it said OEM does that mean I would need to get the cables myself?
Sound Card- Not needed?
Power supply-?

Thank you for looking at this post.

Ok now its time for questions.
1. Will all these parts fit and go together?
2. I see the power supply has a fan on top of it, so since the power supply is at the top of my case, won't the fan not get air or only get hot air?
3. Both the hard drives are OEM, that does mean that they dont come with cables right? So would i need to buy some? and if so can you give me a link?
4. Am I missing anything? Like cables or something?
Thank you for responding.

Edit: 5. I want to use windows XP, I think i need service pack 2 right? And can someone give me a link to the software on Newegg?
