At the moment... Sata is good for cable management... but you get the same time if you use IDE

Default thanks.

I am going to buy one of these, the reviews seam the same for the most part. One item posted claims that the samsung did not come with unit (no manual, SATA cable)

What do you think I should go with, out of these two which seam like really good for the money, which one would you buy. I need an easy install, and a dvd player, burning, cd rw drive, that is a little faster then normal, and easy to use, ronnie lees.

Software, etc.

it depends if u have available sata ports or not, if u are unsure i would just buy the ide, if its oem the drive will not come with cables or manuals it will be the drive itself, but for ide u should have ide from ur other drive so ur good,

So if I buy this one here, IDE
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827136144 I should be able to pop in, play/burn movies, and files? Correct? Is this dvd burning mid level? Is there other options? Or is this a good buy? Thanks.

Yeah i might be but you can't get the speed down a sata and if you can an IDE do it... if you have IDE do it... gives you a free sata port for other hard drives etc.... so what if IDE is going to be out dated soon.

i buy ide cd and dvd drives and use my sata's for hdd's

and ide might be outdated but if some1 doesnt have ne sata ports are u expecting them to buy a sata card when they can save a few bucks and just get the ide, both the sata and ide will do the same thing, they will let u burn cds and dvds and read dvds
