Default Supplement question

Just got a couple questions on Vitamins and all.

I currently take a Centrum complete once a day and 2 1000mg combined Omega

3,6,9 capsules. I went to the pharmacy yesterday and asked what I can take daily to boost immune system function and all and the pharmacist told me to take Vitamin C daily. 500mg's or 1000mg capsules.

Im wondering if this is safe to take along with my Centrum? Im thinking it's ok and good for you since the Centrum only has 90mg's of Vitamin C.

I also wanna start taking udol's (SP) Oil but I wanna know if that to is safe to take with the others?

Hopefully somebody knows this kind of stuff on here.

I haven't taken vitamins for years, and I get sick less often then my parents and sister who take multivitamins, vitamin C, and other supplements daily.

Sorry I can't help with your question though.

Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin, meaning that it is not stored in your body, and thus needs to be replaced everyday. So to answer your question, it is fine to take Vitamin C, because if you take too much, you'll basically urinate out the extra. If it was fat-soluble the answer would be different because that gets stored in your body and can be damaging if too much is taken.

Try echinacea as well... Not sure how it works with Centrum - consult your physician but echinacea is an immune system booster which does contain vitamin C, as well as A & E which also helps with the immune system. However, it does contain fat-soluble vitamins in it, so you want to make sure you aren't getting too much of it. This is why I said consult a physician before taking both.

Typically I take echinacea when I feel like I am getting sick, but it helps prevent it as well.
