If you can get one dirty cheap, then it's worth the euros. It speeds up things a small bit.

Why would you want to partition them?! Use the Raptor for windows and some installs, and the 250 large storage...
74GB on a main drive .... seems like an awful waste of space....

With that much use the 74GB for your OS and serciurty ainti-virus and stuff.
OS + security + antivirus << 74GB

I am against you guys in here. Partitioning is very important
Absolutely, nothing like coherence and organization Not to mention operations at the begginning of a partition block are faster than those not at the begginning (and much more so for the versy first partition)

Think about it, when your windows shuts down improperly, it is going to scan disk a whole partition of 74 GB or a whole partition of 250GB ??
Assuming you have the patience to let either of them run

i was thinking of partitioning the raptor for about 8-10 gigs of it for xp and the rest for installs, this sound good?
Depends how much installing you've got, ive set mine to 20GB and have ~10GB of install and a 10GB buffer for random stuff i throw on every other day in between formats
